We understand that Principal Accountable Persons (PAPs) may be holding back on registering their high-risk buildings because, once registered, it triggers the 28-days to submit the Key Building Information.

Building registrations must be completed by 30th September. Key Building Information (KBI) must be submitted within 28 days of registration; however, the KBI 28-day requirement is not being enforced by the BSR until 28 days after 1st October. Please note, if the PAP submits KBI more than 28 days after registering their building (but before 28th October), whilst the Regulator will not take action against PAP's, it is still an offence.
