Synopsis

Section 21 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 gives leaseholder(s) or secretary of a recognised residents association a statutory right to seek a summary of the service charge costs from the landlord.

Section 22 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 gives leaseholder(s) or secretary of a recognised residents association a statutory right to inspect the accounts, receipts and other documents supporting the summary of relevant costs as a followup to provide more detail on the summary.
