The Energy Act 2023 is now coming into force, bringing new and enhanced legal responsibilities for Property Managers responsible for communal and district heat networks.
As the sector transitions to low-carbon heat, the introduction of the Heat Network Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) means that all heat assets - both new and existing - will be subject to increased government scrutiny to ensure they meet Net Zero objectives.
Maintenance will be a central compliance requirement. Property Managers will be expected to evidence that heat assets are being maintained to a mandatory standard by competent, accredited contractors.
This session will explain what the new requirements mean in practice, what is coming next, and how to prepare. You’ll gain practical insight into compliance expectations, budgeting for enhanced maintenance obligations and how to communicate upcoming changes and costs clearly with end users.
