The Grenfell Tower Inquiry (GTI) highlighted significant concerns about the lack of understanding among property management professionals regarding their responsibilities under fire safety legislation. This course aims to address that gap by providing a clear, comprehensive overview of the primary fire safety regulations across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Focusing primarily on the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (applicable in England and Wales), the course also covers the Fire Safety (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and the Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010, recognising their similar principles and shared intent. Delegates will leave with a stronger grasp of their legal duties, how these duties integrate with other building safety legislation, and what steps are required to ensure compliance.
