The Building Safety Act and the Building Regulations require organisations involved in either the management of building safety risks (the spread of fire and structural failure) in higher-risk buildings or the management or undertaking of building work in accordance with the Building Regulations 2010 to have the necessary organisational capability. Organisational capability in these contexts means the management policies, procedures, systems and resources to manage competence.
