This course is designed to help residential leasehold property managers handle the sale of a flat confidently and correctly at every stage. Leasehold flats change hands regularly, and each sale brings legal requirements, risks and opportunities for the managing agent. Inaccurate replies to sales enquiries can expose agents and their clients to claims for damages, while confusion over who is liable for unpaid service charges and ground rent often leaves arrears unrecovered once the new leaseholder has their feet under the table. This course brings together the practical procedures and the underlying law, so you know what to do, why you are doing it, and how to protect your clients’ service charge accounts when a leaseholder sells.
