A chance to walk the halls with an experienced property professional and Fellow of The Property Institute. This in person course, run across England, provides the chance to see how a site inspection is done, ask questions of an established industry expert, and gain experience of a different and complex site.

The selected building will be a High-Risk Building (HRB) with dedicated on-site staff. The session will demonstrate how to effectively “walk the building,” record findings, and respond to emerging issues.
Attendees will gain access to common areas and amenities such as cinemas, swimming pools, gyms, and residents’ lounges, as well as car parks, plant rooms, and mechanical and electrical systems.
A sample apartment will also be visited to examine shared services and interfaces between units.
Additionally, a trained fire door inspector will be present to demonstrate how to inspect and record a compliant fire door check.
The “walk and talk” will conclude with an informal Q&A session with Sandeep Singh, accompanied by light refreshments.
The session will also cover how to approach inspections at unmanned or remotely managed properties, offering insights transferable to smaller sites.
