A fundamental part of the ongoing reforms is to enable more leaseholders to own or manage the buildings in which they live via freehold purchase or right to manage. This course is designed to equip managing agents and property professionals with the knowledge and tools necessary to better understand management of resident-managed buildings. The course considers the basic principles of resident-managed buildings, additional duties, common pitfalls, and dispute resolution. The course will also look at what is next for resident-managed buildings.
