Synopsis

The duties under both the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 [the Noise Regulations] and The Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 [the Vibration Regulations] are intended to protect persons against risk to their health and safety arising from exposure to noise and vibration at work respectively. These general duties extend to the safeguarding of the health and safety of people who are not employees, such as contractors, residents, visitors and members of the public.
