Synopsis

Regulations in effect from 5th April 2007 in Wales and 1st July 2007 in England prescribed premises which must be smokefree.

Common parts of block of flats must be smoke-free.

There are penalties for failing to ensure premises are smoke-free.

From 1st October 2012 there are different regulations for signage for England and Wales.
