  • • EPCs have been a requirement for the sale of all existing dwellings since 14 December 2007.
  • • EPCs have been a requirement for all new homes since 6 April 2008.
  • • EPCs have been a requirement for all rented/let dwellings since 1 October 2008.
  • • EPCs have been required for large air conditioning units since 4 January 2009.
  • • EPCs can only be produced by qualified Energy Assessors. There are different qualifications for different types of building.
