This Guidance Note discusses the various reasons why site inspections are carried out.

Synopsis

A template site inspection checklist for a routine monitoring visit which can be used by TPI members is attached as an appendix.

A site inspection as explained in this Guidance Note is not the same as a site visit, which may be just to meet an RMC director or a particular resident.

Particular obligations apply to inspections of higher risk buildings (HRBS) under the Building Safety Act 2022.
